In addition to the full program on Sunday this year there will be new and exiting activites on Saturday.

September 1, 2011Already in the 30`s de film industry knew redheaded movie stars. By then the Hollywood films were already based on the stereotypes about redheads. In films the redheaded woman would often play the part of a true femme fatale; sensual, tempterous and manipulative..
Man just couldn`t resist the redheaded woman! The film (1932, Jack Conway) was even found offensive, because the redheaded protagonist traded sexual favors for material gain. The film was banned.
Now, almost 80 years later a movie containing a tempterous redheaded protagonist who manipulates is nominated for 82 Oscars!
We`re talking about de redheaded Nicole Kidman playing the courtesan Satine in Moulin Rouge (2001, Baz Luhrmann) end of course this is our special Redheadmovie of 2011, screened at the Valkenbergpark on Saturday evening (21.00 -23.00). It is a Must-See film that contains romance, spectacle, humor and passion. Let`s enjoy the movie altogether this Saturday evening and judge the part of our fellow redhead yourself!

The official Redheadday is on Sunday, September 4th. Last year over 4000 Redheads gathered in Breda. On Saturday we organize a bunch of activities for our guests from abroad. You can check outthe shops, meet other Redheads or learn more about the history of Breda. In the evening we have more activities you can join before you head back to your hotel.

14 feb 2011The preparations are well underway for the Coebergh Redheadday 2011. We`ve got a theme (we keep that under our hat for now) and we are thinking about activities to go with that. But there are lots and lots of things to do to make this event even possible. But we`re working on it.
Redhead Day 2010!
06 sept 2010The Coebergh Redheadday 2010 was amazing!!! The sun was shining, there were lots of activities and thousands of pictures were taken. We have never seen so many smiling redheads together!
It was a day we will never forget!
