The redheadmovie will be..

Saturday evening

Already in the 30`s de film industry knew redheaded movie stars. By then the Hollywood films were already based on the stereotypes about redheads. In films the redheaded woman would often play the part of a true femme fatale; sensual, tempterous and manipulative..
Man just couldn`t resist the redheaded woman! The film (1932, Jack Conway) was even found offensive, because the redheaded protagonist traded sexual favors for material gain. The film was banned.

Now, almost 80 years later a movie containing a tempterous redheaded protagonist who manipulates is nominated for 82 Oscars!

We`re talking about de redheaded Nicole Kidman playing the courtesan Satine in Moulin Rouge (2001, Baz Luhrmann) end of course this was our special Redheadmovie of 2011, screened at the Valkenbergpark on Saturday evening (21.00 -23.00). It was a Must-See film that containes romance, spectacle, humor and passion.

Let`s enjoy a new movie in 2012 altogether at Saturday evening!

Who will be there?

On September 1st we expect several hundreds of redheads from over 50 different countries. Without a doubt there will also be many other people joining the Redheads; partners, parents, children and so on. On September 2nd we expect 5.000 redheads, as then the Dutch redheads will join us.

Besides this, we expect to see the inhabitants of Breda being very curious and last but not least we expect hundreds of amateur and professional photographers from in- and outside the country to come to Breda.

Who have already registered?
